John L. Payne, Principal Broker
Education: B.S. Biochemistry, Tennessee State University
As Managing Partner, Mr. Payne combines his years of scientific background as a biochemist with his passion for the real estate business. His disciplined and analytical approach to problem-solving and management provides the foundation to his accomplishments as a residential and commercial Real Estate Broker with over twenty five years of experience in marketing, negotiating, and managing all facets of real estate transactions for Buyers and Sellers.
Mr. Payne’s extensive experience in commercial property sales include small to medium priced retail properties to individual owners or business entities ranging from $100,000 to $8 million. Institutional and corporate transactions include multi-owner assemblages of individual properties to a single institutional purchaser as well as land transactions for major retail establishments valued up to $6 million. Corporate clients include FedEx, Walgreens, Jack Pirtle Restaurants, Inc., York Enterprises and The Kroger Company.

As General Partner and Sales Manager, Ms. Payne leads the Performance team in the recruitment, training and management of its affiliate brokers and administrative staff. Her formulation and implementation of innovative marketing and sales strategy is a testament to the long-term success of Performance Realtors.
